Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02082
today Eva and I drove up to New Hampshire for the Granite State Comicon. This has been our yearly adventure now for several years. Eva loves to do cosplay and she has a group of friends there that she catches up with each year. I am a big nerd and love pop culture and fun stuff like this so I love to go. also, the show was created by some college friends of mine and I enjoy seeing them every year.
This year we were both in cosplay each day. Day one we did separate things. I was Bobby Singer from the show Supernatural and Eva was Ray from one of the SMPs that she watches. We made sure that we went to Nerd Caliber and got our photos taken there. We do this every year and they always take such great photos. This was good because I hardly took any photos this year.
this was Eva getting her photo taken. Below is the photo that was taken.

I also had my photo taken. I like how this one came out.

We walked around the show floor and then the artist alley. We checked in at the games place and I attended a panel of two voice actors who voiced Deadpool and Wolverine in the cartoons and animated movies. Eva hung out with her friends while I did this.
after the panel we went and had lunch across the street at Shoppers. We’ve eaten there before and the food is decent. It is also right next to the SNHU center which was were the second part of the Comicon was happening.
we popped in over at the SNHU center and there we ran into my supervisor, Ben and his family. Eva loved talking with Ben’s daughter and she was so full of personality. At the SNHU center there were large 3D printed Robots and that was super cool to see. Maybe something I create in the future, who knows.
After that we ran over to our hotel to check in and get changed. We ran back to the con to see the Costume Contest and there two of Eva’s friends won some major awards. We’re encouraging Eva to enter next year. I think she could win.
To finish off the night we walked over to the Rex Theater because I had gotten us tickets to see The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. The special thing about this was that they got several of the actors and the actress who played April O’Neil to come and speak to the people viewing the movie. We got some great insight into the movie and it made it that much more enjoyable to see. Eva even had a great time watching it.
