I received a package from Disney Interactive that had all of the figures that were released today for Disney Infinity 3.0. Opinions as always, are 100% my own. These were new Star Wars figures, power discs and the Rise Against the Empire PlaySet. As you can see by my photo above we have Luke and Leia, Han, Chewy and Vader. There are also some power discs that get you a couple of special vehicles and some costume changes for Luke and Leia. I played with Vader, Han and Chewy because I could do so through the boxes. I did that because I had not yet been able to make an unboxing video. I wanted to see how each character played in the game and I was impressed. I leveled up each character a bit but didn’t actually give them any new powers. I figure I’d do a little something with that in future gameplay videos. Below is my unboxing video of the characters and the playset and power discs. Then below that is the official press release about this wave of characters.

I played for a good couple of hours through the Rise Against the Empire Playset and did every mission on Tatooine that could be done except for leaving Tatooine. I was able to get Han Solo to Level 15 and level up many other characters. I will have to then upgrade their skill trees at a later date when I can record it.

GLENDALE, Calif. – (Sept. 29, 2015) – Disney Interactive and Lucasfilm today launched Star Wars™ Rise Against the Empire for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, a new Play Set that takes place during the original Star Wars trilogy. Developed by Studio Gobo, in partnership with Avalanche Software, the Play Set takes players through the iconic moments and adventures from Episodes IV-VI, including the characters, vehicles and locations.

The Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set is available at a suggested retail price of $34.99 and includes the Play Set piece, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa figures. Han Solo, Chewbacca and Darth Vader figures are also now available and sold separately for a suggested retail price of $13.99.

In the Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set, players will embark on galaxy-spanning missions with legendary Jedi Luke Skywalker, Rebel leader Princess Leia Organa, heroic smuggler Han Solo and his trusty co-pilot Chewbacca to help defeat Darth Vader and overthrow the evil Galactic Empire. With non-stop action, players can explore open world planets like Tatooine on foot or on a Bantha, take down AT-AT walkers on snowspeeders on Hoth, out-maneuver stormtroopers on speeder bikes on Endor, and partake in epic space battles in an X-wing in attempt to destroy the Death Star.

In addition to the characters playable in Rise Against the Empire Play Set, fans will also be able to unlock and play with other Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Star Wars characters from other Star Wars Play Sets.

Additionally, the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Starter Pack and Disney•Pixar Inside Out Play Set are currently available in major North American retail stores for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One and Xbox 360 and the Wii U™ system from Nintendo.
