I don’t know why but there is a draw to Australia that I have. I’ve always wanted to go there and see that country for myself. There is an air of mystery and adventure whenever I hear about Australia. The problem for me is that it is so expensive to get there. Then once you get there you have to stay somewhere and that is also expensive. However, I did learn about the Accor Hotels 3-Day Super Sale Asia Pacific. This 3-Day sale has some amazing discounts on hotels in Thailand, Korea, China, Japan, HK, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Taiwan, India, Bali.
Accor, a major global group and the European leader in hotels. They operate in over 100 countries and have over 40 years of experience in the hotel industry. This incredible sale runs for only 3 days October 27 – 29, 2009. During this sale you can find one million hotel rooms at amazing rate across Asia Pacific and that means hotel rooms can be as low as $30 a night. You also have to book your trip from December 2009 – April 2010.
Back to Australia. I looked around for prices on hotels and I saw a great price for a seaside hotel in Melbourne for a low $87.35 a night. The hotel is the Novotel Melbourne St. Kilda. Look at the hotel room in this photo, beautiful!
Australia is a huge place and if you want to see a lot of it you have to move around the country. Luckily, Accor has hotels all over the place. If I wanted to go see the great barrier reef up in Northeast Australia I could stay at the Novotel Rockford Palm Cove Resort. This hotel is a 4 star resort set amongst 45 hectares of lush tropical gardens. It also is just a five minute walk from the beach or the charming village of Palm Cove. the hotel boasts a bar, two restaurants, and extensive leisure facilities, including swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, gym, sauna, Kids Club, 9 hole golf course and conference facilities. Sounds like a fun place to visit and check out this pool.
Yes Cairns is a ways away from the reef still but looking at this hotel I may want to stick around Cairns for a while before moving down the coast to visit the reef. I’m not in a position to travel at the moment but if you are in a position to travel then you can really benefit highly from this great sale.
My partner has been offered a job in Australia. He lived there 20 years ago and taught at university. We’ve kicked the idea around a bit. I am all for moving — new & different — he says its a nice place to visit but he’s not certain he wants to live there again.
Quilly,
Wow that is cool, and scary at the same time. Although don’t you already live in Hawaii? Exotic to exotic. although, if you live anywhere it becomes familiar.
Wow, that hotel is beautiful! That’s a great deal for such a nice room!
I’ve been to Australia a bunch of times and there’s always something new to see and discover. One time we saw a group of kangaroos hanging around the pool of the hotel that we were staying at!

Lisa,
I so want to go to Australia. I’ve just been so enamored by it my whole life. A place I must go to before I die.
