I think that everyone knows that when we moved to the new house the two things that I wanted were a large Flat Screen TV and a new grill. Well, I didn’t get the TV, yet and I’ve got an old Weber grill for our outdoor grilling. Well, I do love to grill, I love getting out there and cooking burgers, dogs, steaks and even fish. I think a grill and grilling is an essential part of home ownership. having cook outs is a great way to have friends and family around to enjoy good food. Well, what about other places where grilling brings people together, namely… The Tailgate.
Tailgating, I love it. I haven’t done it at a sporting event but every year we’d do Jimmy Buffett concerts and we’d tailgate. While at the concert I’d wander around and people were so friendly and they’d have so much extra food to share. People get creative at a tailgate. But Tailgating is under attack and Kingsford wants to help and Save The Tailgate with the Tailgater’s Bill of Rights! Kingsford is attempting to get 10,000 digital signatures on the Tailgater’s Bill of Rights so that they can submit it to the pro-football commissioner. There are seven different articles on the Tailgater’s Bill of Rights but my favorite is “Fans shall have the right to tailgate in a friendly and safe environment, hanging out with fellow fans no matter what team they’re rooting for.” With the football season kicking off and about to be in full swing tailgating will be ramping up, but not everywhere. Apparently Candlestick Park is yet another stadium putting the clamp down on tailgating. Well I hope to help raise awareness of the Tailgater’s Bill of Rights. To do that I’m having a contest to give away some great Kingsford Gear. See the photo above, you could receive a prize pack like the one above. I have to tell you that the hat is fitted and it is the MOST comfortable baseball hats I’ve ever worn. I love it!
Your Prize pack will contain some great Kingsford grilling gear similar to what I received although prize pack may vary.

Drew,
I just read Kingsford’ tail gating bill of rights and I know what they are trying for but I think they have kind of missed the boat. I don’t think you can expect a stadium to allow people into parking lots 24hours before a game. That is a whole lot of liability to have on your property and I am sure would require some sort of security detail. 24 hours seems quite excessive to me.
I am also not sure that allowing each tailgater to have a table and tent works out well. Parking is already super expensive why should we have to pay more if we just want to park because space is being taken up by tents and tables.
Being able to bring grills to a stadium is a good idea. However is an open fire in parking lot full of cars a good idea? There needs to be some sort of control which is why you would need someone in charge which is why access 24 hours before and event will never work.
I think Kingston is reaching here and I am not confident they are really trying to solve the tailgating issue but are instead trying to sell grills and charcoal. It is probably just me but think their bill of rights is a little to idealistic.
Just finished grilling on the patio at the cape. You’ve got a great patio at the new house, hope you enjoy many cook outs there. It’s not about a new grille or the big screen TV. It’s about enjoying what you have.
my favorite recipe is the Sac’Em Steak Quesadillas
