Photo-A-Day #4134
I went to see Suicide Squad before work today. There are many critics that have been panning this movie but I liked it. The movie itself was a fun ride. A good popcorn chomping action movie. The performance that Will Smith gave in this movie was so much better than anything seen in the Batman vs. Superman movie. He put heart into the character of Deadshot. Despite Deadshot being a villain he was someone that you could identify with. His motivation is to help his daughter. Like any father he wants his daughter to see him as a decent person. He is a killer, however he has a code and he provides the heart of the team.
The other character that gives a great performance is Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. She provides most of the comic relief for the movie. Her crazy antics and her constant “yes” attitude also motivates the team. There are good moments between Smith and Robbie, too. They carry the movie but there are other characters that have some great moments as well.
Viola Davis is Amanda Waller. She give the perfect performance as that character. She is tough, manipulative and smart. She knows how to make a team of killers, metahumans and crazy people do what she wants. She wants to protect her country and will do whatever it takes to do it. Her methods are extreme and unflinching. That is the character of Amanda Waller and whether you like that character or not she gets things done.
As the video shows, I went to an open house today because it came up on my house hunting feed. Allison had added the home to our list and there just happened to be an Open House so I went. It was a small place and seemed overpriced for the size but the price tag had more to do with the zip code than anything else. Homes in North Attleboro are certainly more desirable than those in Attleboro. I’d love to get back to North if we can. It seems that we have the golden touch for houses to get sold. Every one that we get interested in goes under some sort of agreement a few days later. It doesn’t matter how long it’s been on the market, too. We look at it and get interested it goes under agreement. It is very frustrating but soon we will be listing our place and it will be a whole new set of stress and frustration.
I found some Beatles themed Hot Wheels at Walmart today. Unfortunately it wasn’t a full set. There are six of the and I could only find 5 of them. I’ll be keeping my eyes open for that last one around. They are funky and I think the kids will get a kick out of them since they have been learning about The Beatles through the show, The Beat Bugs on Netflix. It is a very cute show with tons of great music covered by some great artists.
