One of my favorite lines in My Name is Earl is when Earl sees Darnell and says, “Hey Crab Man”. Well, today I went to Joe’s Crab Shack on the Boardwalk in Shreveport. I just learned too that today started MudBug fest or something like that and I could have gotten some free crawfish on the other side of the river. I’ve tried them before but I didn’t quite enjoy them. They were even more work for less reward than the crab legs I got for lunch at Joe’s.
After lunch I walked around the boardwalk and hit ColdStone Creamery. I concocted a mixture of Sweet Cream, Chocolate and Peanut Butter ice creams. Then I had them mix in Oreo, Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, Twix, Roasted Almonds and Hot Fudge. Very tasty.
After that I got myself tickets to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I liked the characters and the nods to the original three movies. I also liked the end however the plot of this one was not that good. It could have been much better as far as the story. I even liked the character of Mutt Williams. It was good to see Harrison Ford in the Fedora again but he is looking old.
Tomorrow I head home. It was nice to have a little breather after a long week of running from State to State. Shreveport was pretty fun overall. The Boardwalk was certainly a good place to relax and get some tasty food.
I wrote a guest post for IZEA today and modified today’s Photo-A-Day with Picnik for the post. I like that one better than how the PAD came out. Check out the post as well as the photo.

Ooohhh… that concoction of ice-cream that you just talked about.. iaksdhhrhvslfbste.. major drool! LOL!
And I would soooo love to dine crabs right now! Bib style! 🙂
Anyways, it looked like you had a really great week. I’m looking forward to watching Indiana Jones myself!
Shemah’s last blog post..Not letting it go..
Now that I see that the shop has blue chairs, then I am sure that’s the same one I saw on TV. Used to have red chairs, and used to not have white on the walls, used to be all wood. That’s pretty neato. I’ve never had crab, or lobster for that matter, but those bibs sure are stylish! 🙂
Chica’s last blog post..Seven may be lucky…
Flo,
They were quite tasty. I think I would stick with Snow Crab or King Crab next time or get all three. But they were certainly tasty.
Oops, Stephen, I must have blanked. It is there now. Thanks for the heads up.
Hi Shemah,
Glad you liked the post. The ice cream was good, I wish I had had it after the movie, then I would have taken more time with it and enjoyed it but because I was late for the movie I rushed things. I hope you enjoy Indiana Jones, it was entertaining.
Chica,
Yeah the ladies at the other table really liked my bib, they kept looking and smiling and laughing. But I was tearing into those crab legs like nobody’s business. And they were good.
