Today was a day of running around, doing a few things and taking some time to get a few shots. Then tonight I went to the movies and saw Get Smart.
First thing this morning Dad and I went on up to see my grandparents. We went there to pick up some antique furniture. Of course there is no place to put it in our house. Luckily we didn’t have to try and wedge it in to the house. My cousin Maddie now has a complete antique bedroom set. And I think everyone is totally happy with this.
After that I went with Dad to the local Harley shop and we picked up some parts for him and I got a few pieces of clothing. I had some Harley Chrome Cash to use. I got a great sweater, T-Shirt and a couple other nice shirts and two Harley Pins. The shop is under new management so the pin is brand new. Very cool.
Then I got a few things done online including writing a guest review for something near and dear to me, Transformers. I also watched the first episode of Transformers Animated that I got with my Optimus Prime/Megatron 2 pack. I really like the new cartoon.
Tonight I went and saw Get Smart. I’m not quite old enough to have watched the original TV show but I did like the remake. There were many nice nods to the original show and I think I would have gotten more of the in jokes had I watched any of the original series. Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway were very good together. They had a nice dynamic that worked on screen. I laughed out loud during many of the scenes and the action scenes were very cool. I also liked cameos by Bill Murray and Patrick Waburton.
Also, when I had the time I went over to the beach and took a bunch of photos with the remote. Here are a couple more of the water effect.

I’m a bit older than you are, Drew, and I do remember watching the original “Get Smart” show, and I loved it. If you have a Netflix or Blockbuster DVD rental account, I think that at least the first season of the show is out on DVD, you might want to check that out. I think you will like it a lot. (note to self, put on list to buy!)
I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I saw promo clips from it on TV, and I think Steve Carell got the original Don Adams portrayal down pat…he even got the voice mannerisms right, from what little I have seen. I usually don’t go in for these remakes, but I think I would really enjoy this one.

Wow, those are amazing shots. My wife does photography as well. What type of camera are you using. I have been looking at getting her a Nikon D60 or D80. What are your thoughts.

As wonderful as the water photos are, the first photo of the fence and sand is magnificent. It is crying out to be framed. I hope it is on your calendar for next year.

Christine,
I will have to see about watching the show I think there has to be re-runs happening somewhere. The movie was decent and very funny.
Hi MC,
I have a D80. the D60 is good as well. The D80 is the closest to Professional while not being on the pro level for Nikon. The D60 is consumer level but has many of the features of the D80.
Andree,
I’ll take a look at putting together another calendar this year. This might make the cut. Thanks.
Drew, Thanks for the help and the company. Hope you enjoyed your time in Falmouth. Butch Rich on the same trip as Mom and Tara, small world. they will have some stories! Have a safe trip.
Dad,
No problem, wish I could have helped more. But at least that furniture is no longer hanging over our heads.
