Westminster Abbey

Photo-A-Day #1211

Today I took Paddington through the streets of London to get as many shots of famous monuments and buildings as possible. And that was all within a 2 hour window of time. I took the Tube from Kilburn Park to Paddington where I changed tubes and went to Victoria to Buckingham Palace.

When I got to Buckingham Palace I snapped a bunch of photos. Then I whipped over to Westminster Abbey to take more photos. From there I took photos of Parliament and Big Ben and the London Eye. Flew on up the Street to Trafalgar Square and shot more photos of the statues there as well as the National Gallery, Fountains and the Admiralty Arch. I zipped over to Piccadilly Circus and caught the tube back to my hotel where I promptly showered, packed and uploaded my Paddington Adventures photos. I have less than 30 minutes to vacate my room and then about an hour and a half to wait for my travel mate Joanne. She should be at the hotel for 2:00. I hope.

Well, I’m off to check out and get some Fish and Chips.

  1. I was just looking at your Paddington pictures… those are great. What a wonderful memory for Eva to have when she gets older. Our hotel was just off the Paddington tube stop, and I’m still kicking myself for not buying a bear!

  2. Jennifer,
It was a pretty amazing place. So much history to explore. I wish I had picked up Paddington the first day but then again I would have had all Paddington Photos instead of regular photos. Recreating Wednesday was fun though. Going back everywhere I went to get Paddington photos was a whirlwind of good times.

  3. Love the Paddington pictures. Just a note… if you do it again, attach him to the Xshot for more variety (and to save your arm). I did that with Flat Stanley and it really helped.

    Loving the London pictures.

  4. I love Paddington, and I know that Eva will, too. The pictures are fantastic.

Maybe when Eva is a older, you can go back to London as a family, and show her all of the places where Paddington has been. Start saving your pennies for that trip!

  5. Alli,
That is a great suggestion. That would work perfectly. I will have to remember that. I’ll bring my 1st Gen XShot to hang things on and my XShot 2.0 to take photos with.

  6. Christine,
Seeing as I would have to save 2 pennies for everyone one needed (wicked expensive there) I should have started 5 years ago and then we can go when she is 35. Eva has enjoyed her new Paddington Bear and the book as well. So glad I got that for her.

  7. Chica,
I do not know. I looked into it but have no clue. Must be something with the RSS feed from Buzznet.

  8. Thanks Shaxx,
I had some low numbers this month because of two weeks of traveling, just don’t have the time to drop EC when I’m on the road.
