Photo-A-Day #4702
Our family had the unique opportunity to be invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World and on board the Disney Dream. This is a conference that we paid to attend. During the Celebration we received experiences and gifts that were beyond the scope of a typical Disney vacation. I will mention those as I discuss them to properly disclose any of those extras. I also have affiliate links in this post.
We wanted to make the most of our trip to Florida and so we tacked on a few days after the cruise to spend time in the parks with our family. Today was the day when we returned from the cruise and the official end day of the conference. We started the morning making sure that we were ready to get off the ship. We needed to get off in one of the earliest groups and so we could not have breakfast at The Animator’s Palate. I would have loved to have done that but what can you do, if you are trying to catch a bus back to the hotel you do what you have to do.
We didn’t go hungry, though. We had breakfast at Cabanas before gathering our things and heading off the ship. Debarking was chaotic. It was a mass rush to get off the ship and not as well marked as everything else on the ship. There were lines upon lines converging to a small space but things kept moving without any problem and we were off and through customs with our bags quickly and then on the road not long after that.
Our sad last look at the Disney Dream as we headed back to Coronado Springs. It would have been really sad if we were on our way to the airport and leaving for home, that’s for sure. We had a spectacular cruise and so much fun as a family. I’d love to do that again anytime.
We got back to the hotel and got our car, backed it up and headed over to my Aunt and Uncle’s place in Celebration. We were staying there for a few night along with Allison’s parents. We built today as a downtime day and once we arrived at the condo we hung out with my Aunt and Uncle and awaited Dan and Marcia. We spent a few hours at the condo doing laundry and repacking a few things that would go home with my parents. They were on vacation in Florida and would be meeting up with us tonight for dinner and tomorrow for some time at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park.
For tonight I booked dinner at the Disney springs restaurant, Raglan road. There we met my parents and later my aunt and Uncle. While we waited we explored some of the shops at Disney Springs. Of course we had to check out world of Disney as well as The LEGO Store. Andrew and Eva had a lot of fun building some LEGO cars to race.
Disney Springs certainly has changed a lot in the few short years since we were here last. It was much smaller and quainter, now there are much larger stores and tons of restaurants. Raglan road is one that has an Irish theme and they have live music. My Uncle suggested it because during the show the bands teach the kids how to dance. This was something that Andrew and Eva had so much fun doing.
We had a little wait before going in for dinner. We had a party of 10 and I tried to get us together but that did not happen. We were separated and our booth was set way back and a bit dark. However, the kids did not miss out on dancing. They both got up and did some Irish Step Dancing and had so much fun.
Dinner was really good. I got a Boar Burger and and we were given some cookies for dessert. Allison and I also shared a lemony dessert. Then it was back tot he Condo to get agood night’s sleep because we were heading to the parks first thing in the morning.
