Review: Playmobil Fairies Sets

Eva's Got Two New Playmobil Sets to Play With

We received a couple of Playmobil Fairies sets to try out and review. Our opinions of these toys are 100% our own.

At Toy Fair I was able to tour the Playmobil Booth. Every Year Playmobil has a fantastic booth with a ton of new sets to see. This year a prevalent theme was Dragons. It is a good year for that since pretty much everything I saw around Toy Fair had something to do with Dragons or Dinosaurs. But when it came time to choose a set to review I choose Fairies. Sure I would have loved a couple of the new Dragons sets but who is ultimately going to be playing with the toys, Eva. Andrew is a bit too young to play with the toys but he is getting closer and eventually we’ll get him into some of them to play with because they are super durable and fun to play with. I will have to look through my old toys to see if I still have the cowboys and knights from when I was little. For now, I have a bunch of photos from our play session.

Playmobil Fairies and Unicorns Set

One of the sets that we got to review was the Healer Fairy with Unicorn “Sapphire Night”. This comes in a package that is perfectly sized for Easter baskets. The set is very nice and I’m glad we got this one because I like the blue color of both fairies wings and the unicorns. Here is the official description of the set.

Nurture those in need with the Healer Fairy with Unicorn “Sapphire Night”. Mix together the special ingredients to create a magical healing potion that will cure any injury. Kids can decorate the unicorn with the various flower and leaf decals. Then, take the magic online and use the set’s secret code to unlock special features in the fairies online game. Set includes one winged fairy, blue unicorn, potion book, cauldron, campfire, bugle, mushrooms, flowers, standing platform to ensure secure footing, and other accessories. Play with this set on its own or combine with any of the other PLAYMOBIL Fairies sets. Recommended for ages four to ten. Suggested Retail Price: $13.99.
Warning. Choking Hazard. Small parts. Not for children under 3 years

Playmobil Fairies with woodland creatures set.

The second set that we got was the Music Fairy with Woodland creatures. I like the look of all the little woodland creatures. Playmobil designs simple looking animals that look so good. This set was nice because it came with so many creatures and other pieces plus various musical instruments. This gave Eva the idea to do a Spring concert.

5451 – Music Fairy with Woodland Creatures
Enjoy the magical melodies of the Music Fairy with Woodland Creatures. The music fairy loves enchanting the different animals with her golden harp. Set includes one winged fairy, deer, badgers, boars, raccoons, rabbits, foxes, musical instruments, flowers, hollow log and other accessories. Recommended for ages four to ten. Suggested Retail Price: $19.99.
Warning. Choking Hazard. Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.

Eva preparing the woodland concert

After we shot our photos of the sets by the only flowers that we have in the yard we moved to the back yard table. There Eva set up for a little Spring Concert to entertain all of the Fairies that we have and a Queen figure that I got from the Playmobil booth at ToyFair 2013.

The Woodland Fairy Playing for the animals and other fairies

Eva set up all the animals and the unicorns plus the other fairies to watch as the Music fairy played a violin like one of Eva’s heroes, Lindsey Stirling. Then Eva sang a little song and all the animals had a nice evening.

The Musical Fairy catching the sun

We had a nice time playing with these Playmobil toys. I was looking at the fading light of the afternoon and liked how the light passed through the wings of the fairy. I think it came out pretty cool. I will try this again with all three of the fairies that we have so that the light overlaps the pink, yellow and blue colors. I think it will make a great stained glass look.

After we did our little review, Eva and I were at Toys R Us and we were picking up some sand for the sand table (it is no longer water and sand, it is all sand) and we walked through the Playmobil aisles. She is really smitten with these fairy and unicorn sets and I think I may be adding another one to her Easter Basket.

  1. Wow these are so very cute and I literally wish I could be a kid again after seeing all this stuff.

  2. I think that bricks for girls are very good idea. We have Lego and Playmobil packs but usually this kind of toys are buying by boys. I must buy Playmobil Fairies for my daughter! Good and useful article!
