Today I attended a digital photography workshop called Digital Days. I went with the Boston winner of BenSpark’s Digital Days, Andy. Today was a learning day, a seminar, no hands on stuff. Our instructor was Phil Mistry and he was really engaging, informative and funny. He knows so much about photography and had many great examples of real life images with mistakes and fixes. We sat there and learned more about Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO I fiddled with my camera and the manual settings. I took a few shots of different things around the room like the chandelier.
On the ride home I decided to stop by the Hopkinton State Park. I saw a kayaker launching but by the time I turned in and pulled up to the water I missed getting the kayaker in any shots. So, I tried to make this one with proper exposure in the waning light.
Tomorrow, the model shoot. I hope mine are even half as good as Paul Richardson’s.
Sounds fun!

Love the glistening elegance of the chandlier, and the water side photo just drew me right into it. Good job!

I hope that you really get something out of it, sounds like you will though. Have fun with the model shoot! 🙂

Andrea,
It was a good time, today was better though.
Thanks Baba,
Great observations and critiques.
Chica,
I really got a great deal away from this, the hands on stuff and model shoot was cool.
