I received an early Thanksgiving/Christmas gift today! Activision sent me a box os some of the newest Skylanders SuperChargers characters that will be hitting the shelves in the coming weeks. I also received a Skylanders Superchargers Starter Pack for iOS devices (the game is even playable on the new Apple TV). So, I guess I have been a good boy this year. As always, the opinions I express here are 100% my own.

Once again we are going to take a Thanksgiving trip to celebrate and relax as a family. While we are enjoying each other’s company we’ll be watching the 89th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! During the parade we will be on the lookout for Eruptor to take his second flight over New York City. Be sure to tune in to NBC on November 26th at 9AM (all time zones).

If I want to keep playing some Skylanders while on our trip I am totally covered because I have an iPad 2 and an iPad Air so I can use my new Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack! This is now available for consoles and compatible iOS devices (Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and iPod). This version is the perfect gift for the whole family! Everyone can get involved in head-to-head racing competitions – even far-away family members as the game can be played online for the first time ever!

Now for the figures and vehicles that I received. I got a whole bunch of them and am stoked! I received three of the new Eon’s Elite figures. Those would be Ghost Roaster, Dino-Rang and Boomer. These are not just repaints of the characters that we already know and love but remolds of each character. They are really nice looking and are super powerful in the game. These characters will be available November 29, first at Toys”R”Us.

I also got the exclusive Holiday Skylanders, Missile-Tow Dive Clops. He will hit store shelves on December 2nd (first at GameStop and EB Games, respectively)! He can slow enemies with candy-coated missiles, among other unique abilities. He will be $12.99 and here is his bio.

Rounding out the rest of the box were single characters and their vehicles including: Splat (character), Splatter Splasher (vehicle), Thump Truck (vehicle), Shield Striker (vehicle), Lava Lance Eruptor (character) and Big Bubble Pop Fizz (character). I love the new characters and seeing some of my old favorites re-imagined.
