When I was a kid I loved the movie, Adventures in Babysitting. It didn’t hurt that I had a big crush on Elisabeth Shue and the whole movie was so much fun. An adventure movie in the big city where the kids get into all sorts of hi-jinks and the babysitter saves the day. The movie also had Vincent D’Onofrio as Thor. It is one of those classic 80’s movies that were so full of fun.

Cut to nearly 30 years later and Disney Channel has remade the movie with some of their stars, Sabrina Carpenter (“Girl Meets World”) and Sofia Carson (“Descendants”). This is going to be a movie that I know Eva will love because she’s already a fan of Sabrina Carpenter in her role as Maya in “Girl Meets World” and Eva is such a “Descendants” fan that her last birthday was themed as such. Plus, I think it will probably be a fun adventure movie that might become one of her classics. I’m interested in seeing the movie to see if there are any subtle nods to the original. It would be super cool if the parents ended up being Elisabeth Shue and Keith Coogan. I know that they aren’t but that would have been something for the original fans.

But this is a brand new adventure and it is on Disney Channel now and it will be available on DVD starting June 28th. More information below.
