Photo-A-Day #3968
Back home again after a train ride through the night. This was my first trip via train anywhere further than Penn Station in NYC. I enjoyed the ride there and back. I was able to do a lot of work both ways and so it didn’t feel just like wasted travel tim like a plane flight usually feels. That and the seats are huge and you can get up and walk around whenever you want. I got home around 7am and slept for a few hours then spent the rest of the afternoon with Allison and the kids.
Eva made this really nice drawing for our neighbor who is very sick, to cheer him up. She found a drawing show on YouTube called Draw So Cute. I think that she did a wonderful job on it, too. Then she colored it in and was trying very hard to find just the right colors. She takes real pride in doing a good job on things and her artistic side has grown.
The weather was very mild, actually a bit warm and Andrew came outside with his tee-ball stand to hit the ball a bit. So he and I played for a while and then Eva came out with and they played a little. Eva enjoyed the little booklet that I got from the Spark!Lab and she was trying to think of an invention. We talked about how inventions solve problems. Then we talked about what sort of problems to solve. We didn’t get very far but it was a good little talk.
Then a very early dinner together and since I didn’t have to work tonight and it was the last day of vacation we did a little movie night. I picked Charlotte’s Web for the kids to watch. Eva really enjoyed it. There were tears especially with Charlotte dying. I am very surprised that she didn’t come down multiple times to tell us how much she missed Duncan or Oliver. It was good to be back home. More in the vlog below.
