Today was a day off and after I woke up from sleeping in the morning I took Andy to Rock Spot so he could get a bit of climbing in. He loves being at Rock Spot and climbing. We were there for about an hour. It was very busy because of the day off and Andy tried to get in as many climbs as he could but because it was busy he ended up waiting more than he wanted. He did do well, though and he progressed a bit further in his quest to climb a 5.10. I love that he keeps working towards this goal.

Andrew’s favorite piece of playground equipment at Play Group is the mountain. The mountain can be climbed on all four sides. It is called the Skyward Summit from Step 2. Andrew scrambles up all the sides of this toy but he favors one side in particular because he climbs all the way up to top and then he climbs through a hole in the top of the structure and lowers himself down to a platform right in the middle. Then he climbs out to the side and does a “Cliff Dive” into my arms. I think that whole cliff Dive” thing freaks out the other parents. What can I say, I love it when he jumps over into my arms.
