Princess Diaries 2 DVD Pack

The world began its love affair with Anne Hathaway when she appeared in The Princess Diaries. I didn’t see the movie at that time but I remember seeing the commercials with Anne as Mia Thermopolis with the crazy bushy hair, wicked bushy eyebrows and looking schlumpy. Then she was transformed into this beautiful poised young woman. This was not one of those hot girl who doesn’t know she’s hot in a pony tail and glasses who gets the glasses off and suddenly everyone sees she’s hot sort of story. Well, it was, but it wasn’t shallow in that she gets the hot guy who never gave her the time of day. Her transformation gave her more confidence to continue to be the wonderful person that she already was and realize that there was someone who had been in love with her even before she blossomed into a princess. Happy Mother’s Day from Disney•Pixar’s “Brave”

This movie is looking very much like it will be a breakout family movie from Disney•Pixar. The characters are fun and I like how there is a relationship with both parents that is special in its own way.

About Brave

Set in the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland, Disney•Pixar’s “Brave” follows the heroic journey of Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to change her fate, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) andcantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane), unleashing chaos in the kingdom. When she turns to an eccentric Witch (voice of Julie Walters), she is granted an ill-fated wish and the ensuing peril forces Merida to harness all of her resources—including her mischievous triplet brothers—to undo a beastly curse and discover the meaning of true bravery. Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and produced by Katherine Sarafian, “Brave” is a grand adventure full of heart, memorable characters and signature Pixar humor. Opens on June 22, 2012, in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.
