The original Mary Poppins is known for some exception and recognizable music. Who doesn’t know Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious or a Spoonful of Sugar? These are classic songs that we have carried with us for years. Well, I hope that the music of Mary Poppins Returns is something that will certainly become a classic especially if Lin Manuel Miranda is attached to the project. He has created many wonderful songs for his movies and theatrical production. I have a little featurette of some of the music from the upcoming movie. Just a little taste of it for now.
Oh my goodness, Mary Poppins returns has popped in with a few surprises today. Much like her, they are practically perfect in every way. We got the new poster and also the full trailer. This shows more of the fun and magic that we will be seeing with Mary come December 19th. When Eva was little she watched the original Mary Poppins at least 45 times. I watched it most of those with her. Allison even knit her a scarf just like Mary has in the first few scenes. Then Eva met Mary Poppins at Walt Disney World. She certainly has been a part of our lives for a long time. So, because of that I feel strongly about the legacy of this character and I am very happy with the trailer. Emily Blunt is adorable as Mary Poppins. Lin Manual Miranda as Jack the Lamp Lighter is a great new character and you can already see that they have the quick witted dialog down.
