Fitzy’s Snowman

I came home from work this morning to find that Fitzy the Elf on the Shelf had made a snowman. I know that this truly tickled the kids. They love having an elf in the house and the love the little movie and all the things that go along with having an Elf in the house. This year has been a good one because even Andrew is noticing the Elf and he’s excited to go find Fitzy each morning.

We did have one mishap this year. Fitzy was put in the Christmas countdown chain and Eva took off some rings which caused Fitzy to fall. Andrew picked him up and we all know that this takes away Christmas Magic from the Elf. Allison took action and made Fitzy a spot where he could convalesce and get his magic back. He was sprinkled with cinnamon and everything.

Fitzy has Returned

Our beloved Elf on the Shelf has returned for the third year. Eva is simply delighted by this tradition and the first thing that she does each morning is search for where Fitzy has landed upon his return from the North Pole. She even wrote a note for Fitzy to take with him to Santa the other day. He left her a note the next morning. She likes it very much.
Even Andrew is starting to realize that Fitzy is here.

And we don’t go using him as a way to guilt her into good behavior. I know that many people are very cynical about the whole Elf on the Shelf thing. For us, the worst thing is laying down to sleep and realizing that we didn’t move Fitzy.
