It is Time for Dad to be Recognized in Times Square

Kodak is going a long way with recognizing Dads this Father’s Day. This is not a contest or competition but instead it is a way for you to post a great photo of your Dad that could be chosen to appear on the Kodak.com website or the Kodak screen in Times Square. The event is called Put Dad in the Spotlight with Kodak. You have from May 23rd to June 19 at 10:00am EST to submit photos to the facebook site where 200 will be selected.

In the Land of Swaying Green Grass and Wildflowers

This line is the opening line to one of Eva’s favorite books, or at least to the audio book version that she listens to every night. Eva loves Nana Star. Nana Star is a book that I received in 2008 from Elana Patrice of Laugh Friendly. The book was to be the first in a series of Nana Star and her friends as they help Nana help a baby star return to the heavens. Sadly I don’t think there will be any more Nana Star books. It looks like the laugh friendly site is now a blog and then the Nana Star shop site is not working. I’ve tried to contact the company but have heard nothing. It is sad too because these are such wonderful books with great life lessons for kids and they included CDs with songs. I even reviewed the two books that were published in the series: Nana Star and Nana Star and the Moonman over at Read To Me, Dad (remember that blog that I have and update so infrequently).
