I woke up late this morning. I could have decided to go back to bed, aren’t those last few moments of morning sleep the best. Snuggling back into bed on that nice soft pillow. Yeah, it is great but no can do. I jumped out of bed and headed for the door, I had a 30 minute ride and was calculating the amount of time I’d actually have for my workout.
I’ve been working out 3-4 times each week. Getting up at 5:00am, driving to work, working out for 55 minutes and then showering and going upstairs to my desk. When I get up there I often see videos by Ted Murphy who is out there running Marathons man. That is fantastic for him and he is really motivating me to stick with my workouts. Not to run a marathon, I love my legs and am not going to kill them by slamming 10 times my bulk onto them repeatedly for 6+ hours (I figure my marathon time woudl be over the 10 hour mark). Anyway I’m still going out there and doing something. I might not be as excited as Ted is in his videos but I’m here to tell you, don’t hit snooze, don’t roll over but rather get up and get out!
P.S. Yes that is an episode of Gary Vaynerchuk’s Wine Library TV podcast. Also something that motivates me as I workout. Gary’s passion is contagiousness.
Another person who has a contagious passion and who motivates me is Ed Gerety. Ed and I will be working closely together in the near future. I am so excited about this venture! Like Ed says Think It! Believe it! Live It!
