The Hundred-Foot Journey looks like a delicious trip for Foodies everywhere. The story is about two restaurants 100 feet from each other. One, an established, highest rated restaurant with traditional French cuisine. The other, a new, family run, Indian restaurant. What starts as a rivalry builds to a war and then softens as the proprietor of the French restaurant takes the son from the Indian restaurant under her wing and begins to appreciate his natural talent with food. Tonight before I left for work we had a bowl party. Not a Super one but rather the Puppy Bowl. I had never watched this before but the kids were excited about watching the big game and it didn’t come on until after I had to leave so instead we made up a bunch of big game food and had dinner in the living room (a big treat) while we enjoyed Puppy Bowl 9. It was cute, all these puppies come onto a tiny little “field” and there are chew toys that if they bring into the end zone scores them a touchdown. It is all pretty much puppies playing with each other while official commentators and a ref do the play by play and cater to the sponsors like pedigree and Bissell. On one touchdown Andrew threw his hands up in the air and screamed. I think he was really enjoying it. Meanwhile we were enjoying this spread.
We had bacon wrapped scallops, buffalo wings, jalapeno stuffed shrimp, buffalo chicken dip, BLT and Honey BBQ flavored chips, Helluva good dip, Steak and Cheese Egg Rolls and more. It was very tasty. The kids enjoyed it was well as their chicken nuggets.
