Andrew and the Half-Shell Headquarters
Photo-A-Day #4243

We received a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Half-Shell Heroes Half-Shell Headquarters to play with and review. Opinions are 100% our own.

Andrew has been asking me for this toy for a while. He enjoys the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and knows that I am a big fan. He can name all of the turtles and was excited that he got a Leonardo figure at McDonald’s last night on his birthday. I had been meaning to switch out some of Andrew’s toys for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Half-Shell Heroes that he has. Well, I did not get that done in time for his birthday but today we were able to clean up the toy area and make the switch. I’m glad that we did because Andrew loves the set. He and Eva were having so much fun flinging all the figures off the Headquarters. There are a ton of fun little play areas. Here is what you get with the Half-Shell Headquarters Playset

  • The Half-Shell Headquarters Playset, part of the Half Shell Heroes collection that’s designed specifically for preschoolers, has four levels of Ninja Turtle fun – with each level packed with surprises and new features to discover!
  • The transforming playset unfolds to reveal new play areas, including street level trap doors that lead to different areas of the Ninja Turtles’ lair, a slide in each hand including one that’s a manhole-popping secret entrance, and the playset’s foot turns into a jail cell!
  • With this many transformations, twists and turns, kids can either guide the Turtles to safety or send Shredder and his gang right to jail!
  • Includes Raphael and Bebop 2.5″ action figures (compatible with most Half Shell Heroes action figures)
  • Recommended Age: 3+
  • Suggested Retail Price: $59.99

Here’s what the kids thought of the toy as they played with it.

Review – My First Telescope by Educational Insights

My First Telescope
Photo-A-Day #4234

We received a My First Telescope from Educational Insights to play with and review. Andrew really liked the Nancy B. telescope from Educational Insights that Eva got last year and I suspect he was a tad jealous. When I was given the opportunity to review one for him I couldn’t say no. However, I’ve had the telescope for a while and It just so happened to make it work out along with tonight’s Super Moon. Unfortunately we did not get to see the Super Moon because of trees and distance.

The telescope is a cute little one that you put onto a table top. It is colorful and easy to use. It is part of the GeoSafari® Jr. line from Educational Insights and is great for STEM learning. The telescope is Focus Free and good for little ones because they are looking through two large eyepieces with comfy goggle and nose cut-out guide for perfect eye placement.
