My Modern Media Man Presentation

Today I was at the Modern Media Man Summit and while I was there I had the opportunity to give a presentation. I submitted a panel called Dad as Digital Historian. However, my session became a panel and then it went back to me making a single presentation again. In the meantime the session changed and evolved and became one called Energize Your Blog with Surf Stopping Images. Basically it was about photography. So I ended up telling everyone some ways in which I take my photos and then how I post them and host them all over the place. Here is the session, I think I got it all. Thanks Nathan Hangen for running the camera.

If you would like to see the panels from my session you can see it at https://benspark.com/M3

Disclosure:The video was shot on the versatile Kodak PlaySport camera that I received for free to film the Roger Williams Paddle back in July. I’ve quickly made it my favorite video camera and in a pinch still camera.

I Am Not Weird – A Read To Me, Dad Review

My friend Kevin Metzger, whom I just met yesterday in real life for the first time but whom I have talked to numerous times online in the past year or so, sent me two copies of his daughter Haley’s book, “I Am Not Weird”. I decided that I would review the book here on BenSpark.com rather than on Read To Me, Dad because eventually I am going to pull that blog and the content there over here and do more view reviews with Eva and books for Children here. I’m going to stop spreading myself and my content across the web and off you content here in one place. So if you want to just read the Read To Me Dad stuff then that is cool you can still go to http://readtomedad.com but it will point here to the Read To Me Dad category. Here is the view review of the book.

Haley’s book is a wonderful one written by a strong intelligent courageous child. As a father I am blown away by this book and how much self confidence and self awareness Haley must have at such a young age. I also enjoyed that She signed Eva’s copy. Here is the link to purchase the book – http://myspellingsucks.com/weird/

Oh yes, the second copy. I am giving that away to a lucky reader.
