Today was our last day in NEw York City. I got up early and headed down to YouTube Space NYC for a second day of shooting with Becky from Week99er. We decided that we were going to do a Sweet Suite recap with some of the toys. We also did a fun unboxing of one of the toys. I can’t wait for everyone to see the videos.
I took a few photos while in the YouTube Space to show where we had been. I snagged one at The Diner. This was such a fun space and the videos from there are good fun to share with you.
After playing at YouTube Space NYC I headed back up to the Friary to head home. Allison and her friends were all packed up to go. We started our drive home. It was long but it was a good drive. We got home around 5:30pm. We decided that we would go to Bliss Bros. Dairy for dinner. We split some chicken tenders and enjoyed a hot fudge sundae because it was National Hot Fudge Sundae day. Then it was laundry and early to bed so Allison could head to the Cape tomorrow and I could go to work.
We went drove down to New York City today. I am here for Sweet Suite which is happening tomorrow. Allison and two of her friends are having some girls’ time together and will explore the city. The funny thing is that we both planned our trips independent of each other and then the timing worked out that we would all dive down together. And even more of a coincidence was that my mother was coming to New York as well with her friends. They took the train, though. Allison and I are staying at the Holy Name of Jesus Friary. Yes, we are staying at a beautiful brownstone that is owned by the church in uptown. The church is gorgeous as well and huge. This place is amazing. One of Allison’s friend’s brother is in charge here.
So we drove down got settled in and then took a walk along riverside park around 96th street. We went to lunch at The Dive Bar and then took the subway down to Times Square to catch up with my friend Becky of Week 99er. She had gotten us tickets for The Ride NYC. I’ve been to The Ride NYC before and really enjoyed it. It was a fun time and we had lots of laughs and were entertained for about an hour. Then we walked around the city a bit and ended up at Becky’s hotel, Pod 39. They have a rooftop bar and we hung out there and got some drinks. After that we took a couple of subways home from Grand Central station and then hung out with Allison’s friend’s brother in the small courtyard of the Friary. It was great to be in the city in such a different way then I’ve ever experienced it before.
