A whole new Nintendo Labo set has been announced and it is pretty amazing! This time the Nintendo Labo Toy -Con set, Toy-Con 4 is a VR Kit! Yes, with Nintendo Labo and the Nintendo Switch kids can create a virtual reality headset with several interesting attachments. A friend sent me a photo of it yesterday and I wasn’t sure if he was pulling my leg but it is real and it is coming on April 12, 2019. This new kit is a first because kids and parents get to actually built a VR experience together. Nintendo Labo is all about the experience of the build and the enjoyment of playing with the Toy-Cons once they are built. This VR kit looks to be really incredible.
This is not just a VR goggles headset, no there is much more. I mean, there are the Toy-Con VR Goggles but there are also several attachments to enhance gameplay. There are also several buying options and I will lay them all out for you here. You can get started with just the Nintendo Labo: VR Kit – Starter Set + Blaster ($39.99) which comes with the Toy-Con VR Goggles and Toy-Con Blaster. If you want to add on then you can get the two expansion packs : Expansion Set 1 ($19.99) has the Toy-Con Elephant and Toy-Con Camera and Expansion Set 2 ($19.99) includes the Toy-Con Wind Pedal and Toy-Con Bird. The other option is purchasing the complete Nintendo Labo: VR Kit ($79.99) which includes the Nintendo Switch software and materials to build all six Toy-Con projects – the Toy-Con VR Goggles, Toy-Con Blaster, Toy-Con Camera, Toy-Con Bird, Toy-Con Wind Pedal and Toy-Con Elephant – as well as a Screen Holder and Safety Cap. This is the best option to try everything.
I know how much my kids have loved the Nintendo Labo Vehicle Kit and the Variety Kit. Andrew still loves the fishing game. With the VR Kit he’ll be able to pretend he is swimming underwater and photographing those fish instead.
The kits will look like this:
