Last night Allison and I went to see the comedian Brian Regan at PPAC, the Providence Performing Arts Center. We had given this night to ourselves back on our actual anniversary. Regan is one of our favorite comedians. He did a great set and we learned that he will be having a show on Netflix soon. It will be a sort of sketch show based on Regan’s old bits and some of his new ones.
We also went for dinner over at Canova. It was an excellent meal and a great night together.

For our 10th Anniversary we went out for a night on the town in Providence. My parents were kind enough to watch the kids overnight so we could stay out and enjoy ourselves without having to rush home for a babysitter. We decided to go and see The Book of Mormon at Providence Performing Arts Center and before that have dinner at Aspire. I’d completely recommend to anyone who was going to PPAC for a shot to catch their dinner at Aspire. They have a nice menu and on theater nights they do a special theater menu. When I made the reservations I put on them that it was our 10th Anniversary and so with our dessert there was this special message.
After our meal it was a quick walk up the street to the theater. The Book of Mormon was very funny. Both Allison and I were laughing ourselves silly at the show. Really well done. The play was written by the guys who write South Park. It is about a couple of Mormon missionaries in Africa and what happens to them. As I watched the play I kept thinking that one character had to have been played by Jack Black at some point. On the ride home Allison looked it up and it wasn’t Jack Black that I was thinking of, but Josh Gad.
