I was sent home from work around 4am because there was yet another New England Snow Storm about to happen. It was already happen by the time I got on the road and I was there before the plow trucks started their runs so it was a make it up as you go situation for the lanes on the highway. I took it slow and got home safely. Worked for a couple of hours and then went to sleep. Eva woke me to let me know that the neighbors were doing some snow blowing and so I got up to go help. I did our driveway and a path in the back yard. This didn’t make much difference later in the day since the City plowed us in once again and I’ll have to snowblow more tomorrow.
Allison and the kids were hard at work making batches of cookies for us and the neighbors. They made a bunch of them including a batch so big that it broke a spatula.
We ended up huddling together to watch a movie late into the afternoon and evening as we had another snow day here in New England.
Tonight our good friend Meghan came over for dinner. We picked up some steak tips from Bob’s Market as well as some salad and some Narragannsett Shandy beer. Meghan brought over ice cream and made her family’s secret chocolate sauce recipe. Yeah you could eat it with a spoon on its own it was soo good.
Allison put the kids to bed and we chatted for a while and then American Ninja Warrior came on. I’m not one for Reality Shows but this is simply incredible. The courses are crazy and the people participating are incredibly in shape. The whole show they teased that a woman who had been the first to conquer the vertical curved wall was going to try this latest course and she CRUSHED it! We were really excited for her. I wish we taped it to show Eva what was possible if you worked hard. Eva got inspired after the last time she watched American Ninja Warrior and made little courses in the back yard. She had fun.
