On Tuesday the kids and Allison helped me shave my head. The next day I shaved it again and then I haven’t shaved it since. For going bald my hair certainly grows fast on both my face and head. I did not realize that the upkeep would be so much longer than when I just had short hair. If I want it to keep looking nice and smooth I’ve got to shave it and I’ve been doing it in the shower. Turn on the water, lather up. Turn off the water shave and try not to get any shaving cream in my eyes. Water on again and more lather. My showers are turning into very long affairs. Lots of stopping and starting, getting shocked by the cold water over and over. It is interesting. I’ll be experimenting with what razors get the best and closest shaves on my head.
A few weeks ago I was trying to decide if I wanted to shave my head. I posted on my vlog the question, Shave or Not Shave? So, I made the decision today. You can see from the image above but the video really tells more of the story. It was a fun one.
Today was a nice day. I played Anki Overdrive with the kids this morning and they had a great time playing. Then I went to the gym and had a great workout. I hit Target for a few last minute things for my trip to Dad 2.0. Then got my haircut. After the haircut we took the family to House of Fortune for lunch as a special lunch for vacation week. Back to the house and some more Anki Overdrive and then packing for my trip.
Tonight Allison and I went out for dinner at Dave and Busters and then to see a sneak preview of the movie Eddie the Eagle. This was a movie based on the story of Eddie the Eagle from the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. We really enjoyed it a lot. It is going to be a great movie for people to see. A real feel good underdog story.
