This Sunday, December 21, people in the United States will be able to get their hands on two brand new Skylanders elements, Light and Dark. Skylanders Trap Team is introducing two new elements to the game with the release of the Light Element Expansion Pack and the Dark Element Expansion Pack. I was fortunate enough to receive these expansion packs in the mail today. I was so excited to get home from Andrew’s first Big boy haircut to find this package from Activision. I went and took some photos with the sets and also made an unboxing video.

While I didn’t get much time to play with the sets I did level up each of the characters. I also bought their powers and got them ready to roll for when I could have time to play the expansion packs. What is nice is that when you place the game pieces on the portal that it unlocks the elements in the gameplay. I noticed that in the Kaos Challenge there are options to activate a Light and a Dark Element tower. They are pretty cool.

The new Characters are fantastic. They look incredible and their gameplay is exciting and the characters are pretty powerful. The physical toys are also impressive. Knight Light has huge wings and if you double jump with him in the game he starts to fly. I can’t wait to play with these more.
