We came home from the Cape yesterday and today we took a trip to Hopkinton to enjoy the open day of Snappy Dogs. Before that, however, Eva and I went to Krav class. It was sparring day and Evan and I did some sparring together. She is super quick.
We made it to Snappy Dogs a little after noon and got into line. The ladies at the cart were very excited to see us. We ordered two big dogs and a Great Dane for Andy. Andy has asked for Great Danes almost every time we go there and it has only been a couple of times that we’ve said yes. Today Andy’s stomach was pretty empty so it was a go for a Great Dane. Andy polished that off pretty quickly, too. This was the first time that they put chopped onions on the hot dog and decided that they liked it that way. I got dill relish, chopped onions and sriracha mayo on it plus mustard and celery salt. I’m not sure what Allison got on hers but she did pick out one of the gourmet toppings and really enjoyed it.
On the way home I saw that the Transformers One trailer had dropped. The family got a big kick out of me tearing up while watching it. I’m very excited for it to come out this September. It looks awesome!
After yesterdays miserable wet and rainy day we weer happy to have a slight reprieve from that mess. The weather was cloudy but dry and we decided that we would head up to Hopkinton to visit our favorite hot dog ladies at Snappy Dogs. Today was opening day and it was a fun one. I ad contacted my sister, Shelby, yesterday and let her know that we were going up for opening day and asked if they would meet us there. Shelby brought her kids and the cousins had a fun lunch together.
As always Lisa and Teresa were gracious and warm and wonderful. Lisa was very concerned over what had happened with my Photo-A-Day project. She’s been following it for a long time now. I appreciated her genuine concern over how I was feeling about this project. I did share what the next project might be. I’ll reveal that when the time is right.
Lunch was delicious. I had my first Great Dane of the season. It is a 1/2lb Pearl Hot Dog with sriracha mayo, spicy slaw, banana peppers, mustard and dill pickle relish. It was so good. I inhaled it because it was so cold outside. We thought that we’d sit at the tables and enjoy lunch. Instead we scarfed down our dogs and shivered like crazy.
