A massive snowstorm rolled in today. It was actually snowing throughout the night and most of the day. I tried to sleep in a bit in the morning but didn’t sleep that well. I got out and took a sweep of our driveway and my neighbor’s driveways. I also did the sidewalks and by the time I was done there had to be at least an inch or two on top of what I had just done. The snow was so deep at points that it came up over the front of the snowblower.
The snow looks really pretty out there and I am glad we didn’t get too much of it. I’ll make a pass through tomorrow morning and get it all finished.
After a weekend where everyone worked from home because of the possibility of snow, we actually did get snow and have a snow day today. I say that everyone worked from home but I did not, I went in because I run the switchboard and the closest building is a 15 minute drive. I have been able to make it in most of the time. The snow that arrived today wasn’t a whole heck of a lot but it was enough predicted that school was cancelled early last night. That meant that pretty much everything for today was cancelled. Karate, School, Play rehearsal. All of it cancelled. So, I took the snowblower and cleaned up our place and our neighbor’s place. The kids couldn’t wait to get out and play in the snow. They made snow people in the chairs on our patio. Then they made the snow people get married. Big imaginations on these kiddos.
