Today I snagged a Daredevil Funko Pop Bobblehead on clearance and finally found the Venom car that I missed by seconds on New Year’s Eve day. I also found some candy on a 70% discount. It was a successful Target run. I also began work on a Snack Stadium that I have to construct for a blog post to me released this coming Monday. Other than that, today was a good day. Andrew was back at school and very happy about that arrangement. He took a two hour nap so I could watch two episodes of Marco Polo and so I’m almost finished with that, which will be sad since then I’ll have to wait for July for the next season to start. It is so good. Here is today’s vlog and remember that you can read the transcript below. I go through my video and transcribe the whole thing to for anyone who would rather read. I still have to figure out how to transcribe this easier.
I’ve been eyeing this Avengers 5-Pack of cars at Target for months. The set was $18 for the longest time and I just couldn’t bring myself to get 5 cars for that much. I was in the store last night looking for a birthday gift for a family friend and saw that the set and a bunch of Marvel themed track sets were on clearance for more than 1/2 off so I jumped at the purchase. I have some other Marvel themed Hot Wheels cars that are also based on the Avengers but not ones that incorporate their costumes. I know of several others and I’m looking for those to close out my collection.
I’ve been reading tons of Avengers comics through my Marvel Unlimited subscription. This has been a great purchase because I’m catching up on so many cool storylines. Right now I’m reading the New Avengers storyline from 2004 (I think) and it is right after the whole Civil War and now there is a Skrull infiltration. I wonder if Skrulls will be part of the Marvel cinematic universe.
