Making Unicorn Elephant Lunches

Unicorn Elephant Lunch

Andrew wanted to make his lunch again today. He wants to make it every day. Today he had some leftover spaghetti and meatballs. We used it as hair and curlers for his unicorn elephant. He likes to make lunches with faces. His favorite items to use are ham, pepperoni, pickles and olives.

I was at Target getting a couple of new boxes for organizing things. While I was there I picked up some special boxes of cake mix for Eva because she is all about making cake pops and more. I also picked up some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles blind bag movie minis. I felt the bags and was certain that I had gotten a specific character but I guess I didn’t. Well, I at least got two new ones, just not the exact two that I thought I had.

I went to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows today after I woke up from my morning nap. I was not a fan of the previous movie but after seeing that Stephen Amell would be in TMNT2 and then to find out that characters Bebop and Rocksteady would also be in the movie I got interested. I was pleasantly surprised by the movie.

The second installment was a marked improvement over the first movie. One issue with the previous movie was the lack of action with the turtles and a terrible origin story. With that first movie out of the way and all but forgotten in my mind I could certainly go and enjoy this movie with an open mind. The action was non stop with very little downtime and that was cool. Amell did a good job portraying Casey Jones but he was a bit too clean cut for it, not rough enough around the edges. Not enough action with him either.

Bebop and Rocksteady were some big time fun additions to the movie. They were also crude and disgusting in a humorous way and I’m sure that younger fans are going to love them. The character designs for these two were awesome. I liked them better than the turtles but the turtle’s looks have grown on me.

I wouldn’t dig too deeply into this movie. It is definitely a popcorn chomper full of mega action that defies all sorts of physics and logic. Plot holes that you could drive The Tartaruga Brother’s Garbage Truck through. It doesn’t matter because the movie is fun, visually cool and a good kick off to the Summer.

In the video below I give you more of my review and also I unbox a bunch of great Turtles toys from Playmates.
