We received a POWERUP 2.0 Free Flight Electric Paper Airplane Kit for free to try out and review. Opinions are our own.
Several years ago I attend Toy Fair and saw the first iteration of the Electric Paper Airplane from Power Toys. It was fascinating then and has only gotten more so over time. It wasn’t until just recently that I received a review unit to try out. This innovative product turns and ordinary paper airplane into a flying powerhouse.
To test out the Power Up 2.0 I needed to make some paper airplanes. I learned that the best planes to use are about the length of the Power Up 2.0. Shorter planes did not work as well. I recently helped with a Captain MArvel campaign and did a DIY Captain Marvel themed paper glider. Unfortunately that one did not work well with the Power Up 2.0 because it was far too short. You need a good full sheet of paper sized plane, although you can use A4 paper. I had to look up what A4 paper was and learned that much of the rest of the world uses that as a standard sized sheet of paper instead of our Letter sized. Either way the Power Up Flight Deck has you covered with templates for both sizes.
We took the airplanes to the park to fly them and the one that I made from the Flight Deck template was the best flyer of the bunch. Take a look at the video below.
