Grab Bag

I have been busy

I have been so busy lately that I have not been able to do some decent posts about time wasters and fun stuff I have seen on the Internet or on TV.

first off I got my iPod and have since been loading it with every available podcast I can think of finding for all of my interests. I have found podcasts for comedy, nature, Photoshop and much more. I am going to look for some on motorcycles and kayaking and cooking as well. This crazy thing we call iTunes has been a lot of fun to explore. I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner, much much sooner. But I can change. I have embraced my previous Mac self. Yes, early on we had an Apple IIC and I loved that computer I spent hours working on Print Shop and animation studio and even a Toy Maker program. That was so much fun. I don’t think I’ll be trading in the PC computers anytime soon but I have forever disassociated myself with the notion of purchasing a Zune. It is all iPod for me now man.

Last night brought back the return of one of my favorite TV shows, PSYCH. I am so glad this show is back. I just love the chemistry between Shawn and Gus. Last night’s episode also had the guy who played Red Foreman on That 70’s Show as a friend of Shawn’s father and his daughter was played by the girl who was Ted’s girlfriend last season on How I Met Your Mother (the girl who was the baker). I also like how Shawn and Gus are about my age and like a lot of the cheesy 80’s stuff that I also like. The show is phenomenal so you have to check it out.

Let’s see I found a site through Pop Candy that allows you to make your own M&M’s character. So I went ahead and made a brown M&M character. Here is the character I made of me and the one I made for a Brown M&M.

Vancouver Update

Today was my last day in Vancouver for my first trip out here for the an implementation job. It was a pretty interesting trip despite the weather and it being very dark most of the time. I did get to see some sun and some stars. Today Smallville was still filming at the hospital and I was able to see Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk film a scene.

I wasn’t close enough to hear them but I knew they were filming a scene because there were dozens of people around yelling filming type things like “speed” “action” “rolling” and “cut”. I don’t know where the camera was but I was right behind them so the camera was probably behind me and didn’t get me in the shot, but who knows stranger things have happened. So watch Smallville on March 2 for episode “Resurrection”.

After training I went for a drive down Vancouver’s Route one up to a mountain. It was still pretty foggy and lots of clouds but the sun and the clouds made for an interesting photo. Enjoy. Maybe next time I come out here things will be much brighter and I can get some photos of the mountains that I could see from my hotel room for all of 5 minutes.

I also just finished my Firefly DVD’s. Man that was an awesome show that never should have been canceled. Hopefully it will live on in a feature film as well as some novels like the Buffy books and Angel books. I can’t wait for the first Firefly book. That will be awesome. Anyway, I’m sitting in the airport and will post this message probably tomorrow when I arrive home. Since I won’t be leaving till 11:30pm and won’t be arriving until 10:00am. Bit of a long flight… To say the least.
