The Christmas Farm Inn is such a wonderful place. We woke up to a beautiful view to the White Mountains in the distance and snow all around. The nice thing about going on the trip through the snow was to wake up to all new snow on the ground. It was so beautiful. We were up early because Andrew was up early. I got up with him and let him watch a few things on the iPad. I watched some things on my tablet as we woke up into the day.
Once Allison and Eva were up we got dressed to go to have breakfast. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was delicious. The main building has a common room and a quaint dining room. There were about eight choices for breakfast and they were all very good. There was plenty for the kids to choose from. In addition to the meals we could order there were muffins and more to choose from. We ate well.
After our breakfast the kids and I went and played in the snow. They made snow angels and threw snow at each other. They loved the snow so much.
We then relaxed by watching the Macy’s thanksgiving Day Parade. I completely missed seeing Eruptor come down the street. The one thing that I was looking forward to seeing. I even have a toy of that balloon. We liked the parade and that was something that we haven’t had much chance to see the whole thing in the past years. We were so relaxed. We played games and had fun before we went back to the dining room for our Thanksgiving meal.
The meal was delicious. It was a buffet and the had turkey and so many other dishes. There was supposed to be prime rib but it wasn’t out when I went through the line the first and second time (once was to get Eva and Andrew’s Meals, second time was for mine). We brought the two centerpieces that the kids made. Eva made one out of a small pumpkin and Andrew’s was out of a pine cone. We brought those to put on the table. I really wanted to make this a special meal. The meal was great.
So, why, is Andrew sleeping in this photo. When Andrew gets tired he gets a bit mean. Just before the photo above he was doing something that we told him not to do. He cam back with, “yeave me awone! Yet me do my own thing!” Allison went to get her meal and I told Andrew to put his head down on the table and relax. He was starting to get upset and I figured that he’d lay his head down for a moment and get back up and behave a little better. Nope. He fell asleep, hard.
The rest of the day consisted on playing games and going swimming at the indoor pool. Eva and I swam first while Allison and a sleeping Andrew stayed in the room. Eventually they joined us and we had fun with Andrew jumping over and over again into my arms. We saw the sunset behind the mountains and then went back to the room. We watched A Charlie Brown Christmas a few more times. I think the total times watching this was over ten at least. The kids LOVE that special. It was an early to bed night because tomorrow is going to be a long but fun day.
