Allison, Eva and I got our hands on a copy of The Muppets 3-Disc ‘Wocka-Wocka Value Pack’. I was pretty excited to see the movie because I had been hearing such good things about it and I did not get a chance to see it in the theater. Allison and I both enjoy Jason Segel on How I Met Your Mother and were wondering how well he’d be able to write The Muppets. We were not disappointed. The Muppets rocked. I think that the story captured the spirit of the Muppets and was funny and nostalgic all at the same time.
Trailer:
I watched the whole movie and a bunch of the Blu-ray extras. There were many. I haven’t had a chance to watch the movie with the commentary yet but hope to do that soon. The longest blooper reel was funny and the deleted scenes were good. Some actually explained a few things in the movie and filled in at least one hole that I saw. The thing that I found totally by accident is the intermission feature when you press pause on the Blu-ray. Hit pause at some point, trust me, it is worth it.
In this movie a new Muppet is introduced. His name is Walter and he’s Gary’s (Jason Segel) brother. They grow up together watching The Muppet Show and it is Walter’s dream to go to the Muppet Studios. He finally gets his chance and the movie is off and running from there. Finding all the Muppets wouldn’t have been possible but for the use of a Montage.
Montage:
There were many funny songs from the movie and the jokes were great too. Some real good visual stuff and some other jokes that were like time release ones. You’ll get them later and laugh. I have a few other videos from the movie as well as a press release that will tell you all the nitty gritty details. There is also a link for Muppet related activities that you can do with your kids. The movie will be released in stores on March 20th, 2012.
