Good Instincts

Good Instincts
Photo-A-Day #1485

Allison tells me that whenever the photographer or videographer at a wedding stands in front of me it means I have good instincts. I think it is because they like to stand in front of any guy who has a camera as big as theirs. Not that I’d ever get in the way of a professional photographer who is being paid for a wedding or event. I just seem to always grab the spot right behind the real photographer.

Last night Allison and I went to the wedding of her cousin Beth. We had a very nice time and got to spend that time with her parents, cousins, brother and Sister-In-Law, grandparents, aunts and uncles. The wedding was a very nice one and everyone had a great time. I took a bunch of photos but need to do some processing. They are all pretty grainy because I didn’t use flash so as not to disturb anyone. When I get a moment, not sure when, I’ll have to post those photos and the pajama party ones.

Yesterday was also Free Comic book day and I picked up books at Newbury comics as well as at Wild Time Comics. Wild Time is my local comic shop but occasionally something on my pull/sub list gets missed, this stinks because I pick up my books infrequently so I end up having to go somewhere else to find the books that got missed. Yesterday was a pretty good haul too.

We left Eva with our friends T.R. and Michael, they took her to dinner and she entertained them to no end. She also, thankfully, slept very well for them. We really appreciate that they took the time to help us. Apparently it also helped them work on their wedding plans as well.

3rd Anniversary

3rd Anniversary
Photo-A-Day #1314

I took this with my xshot, I guess I should have taken it before we ate, but the food was so good I took it afterward.

Today Allison and I celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. Three great years. Tonight Allison and I went to Fortune House for an Anniversary Dinner. We love going there because the food is consistently good and the people there are fantastic. They were so nice with Eva and came by to talk with her again and again. Eva was wonderful and she tried many of the items from our plates. She did well with the pieces of chicken from the chicken fingers but wasn’t so good with the boneless spare ribs (a little too tough for her tiny chompers). She did enjoy the red bean ice cream though, always a favorite after dinner treat, that and Green Tea ice cream.

Well, three years have certainly flown on by. Looking back at our wedding day and through or wedding album (which we still haven’t made into a physical one) I can’t believe how far we’ve come in so short a time. A wonderful journey so far. Looking forward to many more years ahead.
