This past week I was very surprised to received a package in the mail. It was a package of great products from Vat19.com. They sent me 1 Smencils Gourmet Scented Pencil, Orange. I opened the package and immediately could smell some wonderful orange scent. I liked this pencil scent much more than the chocolate one that I already have. The package also included the Insta Snow Fake Snow Powder which I have yet to use and am saving that packet and the other one I received for a little Christmas party prank, but I will blog about it once I use it.

The last item in the package was the Ambient Fire Video Fireplace DVD. I brought it with me to the office to drum up some holiday cheer. There are 9 different scenes with over 3 hours of wood burning fireplaces as well as music to accompany the soft glow of a roaring fire. I love a burning fireplace and am lucky that we actually have a real one in the house. However, if I wanted to recreate the feel of a warm Christmas scene somewhere else I could certainly use this DVD to set the mood. Here is the fire pit scene on my computer in the office. Doesn’t it feel festive?

Vat19.com has a ton of awesome gift ideas. One such idea that I am very interested in is the MusicCooks Recipe Cards with Music CDs which is a gift box filled with island themed recipes and music. Allison and I both enjoy cooking and we would love to return to Aruba or some other exotic island to sample the food and enjoy the music. Since that isn’t happening anytime soon recreating that feeling and the food is the next best thing.

I was looking through the recipes as well as listening to the samples of music from the CD and I was really impressed. The one thing I didn’t like was that the music was only samples, it left me wanting to hear all the rest of the music, it really hooked me in. The recipes look delicious as well. Recipes like Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Coconut Rice with Red Beans, and Roast Pork, Mango Glaze and Caramelized Mango all make my mouth water. The recipe cards are laminated, they give you a list of the ingredients needed for easy shopping and there is a recipe easel so you can see the recipe easily while cooking.

Each time I visit the Vat19.com website I find something else that I really like and would like to have. The prices are reasonable and the gifts are pretty fun. Take a look for yourself.
