Today we had to leave the Cape and head home. I took the day off and it is gonna be tough going back to work tomorrow. I had a really nice time on the Cape, the weather for the most part was great. Now it is just humid and gross at home.
We came home early and had lunch over at Bliss Brothers. We split a tuna club so that we would have room for ice cream for dessert. Worth it. Bliss Brothers Ice Cream is delicious. Allison had a strawberry shortcake and I had a Belgian waffle, I thought mine was supposed to come with strawberries but instead it came with hot fudge. No big deal but I think strawberries would have been better. I hate to waste food so I didn’t send it back. It was pretty good, plus I had a bite or two of Allison’s dessert.
We got home and the humidity was so oppressive after being on the Cape with the great breeze. I can’t wait to go back. We ended up passing out for a little while, we were all tired and Eva’s been a grump most of the day, yes folks, it actually happens. She can be a grump. She was really tired and fighting it so I put her down and waited out her crying, she fell asleep as predicted.
I took that opportunity to go and do some food shopping. I like going to the store by myself because I take a long time in the store making sure I peruse each aisle for things we need. I also liked the air conditioning. I ended up leaving my coupon organizer and all my coupons in the cart. I have never done that before and only realized it when I was back home. Oh well, there weren’t many good ones in there anyway.
An early night tonight. I haven’t checked my e-mail all day and won’t till tomorrow so I am sorry if I didn’t respond to anyone from today. I’ll be back at it tomorrow.
Ah yes, the photo. This is of a pumpkin plant that is now growing in our front yard. You might remember the pumpkin that Mike got for us for Halloween. Well it made it through the winter on the front steps and then I put in on the ground next to the steps so it could decompose. It did and now a few of the seeds inside have taken up residence in the front yard. I hope the wisteria does not kill it. I may have to cut that back to prevent it from overrunning the pumpkins.
