When I was at Toy Fair I stopped by the Mimobot booth to check out all the new items that they had coming out. I connected with the team there and they contacted me to ask if I’d like a Mimobot to try out and review as well as one to give away. I am a huge Transformers fan and so I requested some Transformers Mimobots. I received a Bumblebee Mimobot and a Starscream Mimobot. I decided to keep the Bumblebee one and give away the Starscream one. They are both 8GB USB drives that include some pre-installed media including the first 8 issues of the classic Transformers comic book from the 80s. It is so great to get to read those again. Eva and I received download codes for three new Ansel & Clair adventures. This time the Virtoosian pair are back to learn all about dinosaurs from three different time periods: Cretaceous, Triassic and Jurassic. I have been a big fan of the Ansel & Clair series since the first app, Ansel & Clair’s Adventures in Africa. These apps bring kids and parents face to face with some amazing dinosaurs through animation, information, photos and fun puzzles. Here is a preview video of the Ansel & Clair Cretaceous Dinosaurs which was the only app out of the three that we were able to play because both the Jurassic and Triassic apps require iPad 2 or higher to run. I guess it is time for me to upgrade my iPad so I can thoroughly review future apps.
