I Want to Fix My Lawn Quick

My back yard lawn is an embarrassment. I cannot keep the lawn alive and so when I was offered a Quicky I took it. Quicky is the name of a coated grass seed from Canada Green & Garden Seed Inc. Opinions are 100% my own and results certainly will vary. I started out by taking a few photographs of the back yard.

My lawn is an embarrassment.

This was after I had used an iron rake to scratch up the dirt and clean up the moss that was growing all over the place. I figured that I would try the seed on one half of the backyard because I only had one bag and I have been contemplating putting down wood chips and making a play area for the kids on the other side. No sense planting seed if I’m just going to cover it up in the future.

Last Uniform Day of the Year

While Eva won’t graduate from Kindergarten until Tuesday, today was the last day that she needed to wear a uniform. I’ll certainly be taking some last day of Kindergarten photos but since she started the year in her uniform I figured I’d catch a photo of her in her uniform for the last time as a Kindergartner. I had to go back and see her on her very first day of Kindergarten, too. So much has changed in this past year. Most noticeably for me was that she was missing her two front teeth at the beginning of the year. She was reading picture books at the beginning of the year. Now she reads chapter books. She’s still an amazing, happy smart child who loves school and everything to do with school. We couldn’t be prouder of how she has done this year.
