A little bit into the Summer we planted sunflowers from seeds for the first time. The first one has bloomed and the second is not far behind. I want a whole garden of sunflowers. I love them. I love photographing them.

PBS Kids Summer Reading Party – A Bit Late
At the beginning of the Summer I was asked to host a Summer Reading Party for PBS Kids. I received this fantastic kit of activities for the kids to do during the party. The kit also had some DVDs, resource books and more. Well, the Summer got away from us and we didn’t have time to host the party until today. I wished that it had been sooner but that wasn’t happening. The party that we did have was nice and small which was good because I don’t know if we’d be able to handle more kids than we had, we had 12 including our own.
We gathered and the kids played games together until all the kids arrived. Then I read them a story to get us in the proper frame of mind. The kids then colored in a coloring page and then designed their own boats that they would then use to create their Penny Boats. Continue reading PBS Kids Summer Reading Party – A Bit Late
