Right before I went to Toy Fair 2015 I was shopping with Andrew and saw that there were new Rescue Bots on the shelves. I pick up all things Rescue Bots because they are the gateway to my children loving Transformers as much as I do. I hope. Eva’s very first Transformer was an Optimus Prime Rescue Bot. Now Andrew is getting interested in Rescue Bots and I am all about encouraging that interest.
I saw a bunch more new figures and playsets coming out for Rescue Bots and can’t wait to share them with the kids. I think that they are going to go wild for them.
Big Hero 6 is a huge favorite movie in our home. We first showed the kids the movie during Christmas vacation and we recently got a copy of the movie on DVD and Blu-Ray. Since we received it we have watched it a bunch of times. We’re also connected to the movie because I got to go and interview the creators of Big Hero 6 last year and I am so happy that those guys are now Oscar winners.
In addition to Big Hero 6 winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, Feast also won for best Animated Short. Feast is included on the DVD/Blu-ray release. It is a wonderful little short about a cute dog named Winston.
Big Hero 6 is one excellent movie. It has a great origin story for a new team of heroes. There is heart, conflict, loss, humor, tragedy and fun all rolled into the amazing movie. I can’t say enough good about this movie. Pick it up today!
