I have the newest trailer for the upcoming Disney Movie, The Finest Hours. This is based on a true story of an amazing rescue by the Coast Guard off the coast of Cape Cod. As a lifelong Summer resident of the Cape this is something that I am interested in seeing and also reading the book on which the movie is based. While the trailer only shows a little bit more footage, The first one was longer, more complete in my opinion, if does have some more action. The other trailer was a mini movie and I thought it more powerful overall. I was really moved by that one. This is heart pounding because anything with a rescue at sea can be incredibly dangerous. This rescue had everything stacked against it. I’m looking forward to seeing it in theaters.
Today we went with the kids to United Skates. We went with our friends Holly, Rose and Noah. There was a Veterans Day skating day special for a couple hours. We got there and I had the kids try out some new trainer skates. Eva did a great job. She started off with the trainer bar as well. She didn’t need it the whole time either. So, next time around we’ll be trying to go without one of these trainers for her. Andrew did much better this trip, too. He didn’t hang on the whole time but he did pretty well by the time he was done. He had the trainer skates and then the training bar. Allison skated as well and the two of us skated with Andrew between us.
We also went to lunch over at Chellos. The kids loved being able to have lunch with their friends.
We came home and enjoyed a movie together. Since Eva has seen the original trilogy and enjoys Star Wars Rebels, and Disney Infnity 3.0. It was time to continue her Star Wars education. So, we watched The Phantom Menace. I know that is the one that people say to skip but I think her Star Wars education should be a complete one. And speaking of Star Wars, I got a Sphero BB-8 the other day and played with it today. I’ll be posting a review of it very soon.
