Today Eva’s classroom had Chinese New Year. The kids came in and they sang some songs. They all had made dragon hats and dragon puppets. Eva had a cute little outfit on that my mom got her. After the presentation everyone was treated to noodles with chopsticks, an orange and some water. Eva brought in our special chopsticks to show the class. I’m that nerd who goes and buys dragon chopsticks because he used to eat jellybeans with them.
Sunday February 14th is a big night for Disney Channel. First is the Disney Channel Debut of “Frozen: at 7pm. Then at 9pm there will be preview of a brand new Disney Channel original comedy show called “Stuck in the Middle”. The show centers on and is told from the point of view of Harley Diaz, the middle child of seven. She and her family which also includes mom and dad live in Massachusetts. Harley is a quick-witted teen who uses her inventions to navigate life. Being a middle child she often feels like she doesn’t stand out, especially in such a large family.
I am looking forward to this show because Eva is starting to get into Disney channel shows and some of them are just a little outside her maturity level. She is only a few years younger than Harley, loves creating things and is excited about Science. Eva also loves to laugh and a good quality family comedy is something that we can share as a family. I think that Andrew will also like the show, particularly for the younger twins Lewie and “Beast”. But I bet, from the clip I saw, that Daphne is going to get many funny moments. You can read all about the show in the press release below. But first, check out this mashup of the new show and frozen. Sisters
