BenSpark’s Holiday Gift Guide – Knuckle-Headz Head Poppin’ Racers

Knuckle-Headz

When I went to Sweet Suite this year I saw the Knuckle-Headz Head Poppin’ Racers from SD Toyz. Now I have worked with SD Toys in the past but at the time their company name was different. I worked with their MAX TRAXX glow in the dark racers. Those were so cool. Well SD Toyz included some Knuckle-Headz Head Poppin’ Racers in the Sweet Suite Swag box and that is where I got two of mine and I was also give the Francis figure when I was at Sweet Suite. These were given to me for free and I decided to hang on to them until it was time for my Holiday Gift Guide. You can see them in action in my video below. Andrew helped me out on this one because he was home sick from school and I had to keep him occupied.

These are just fun cars to play with. It is super silly when their head pop off as they race along. Here are the main features of the toys:

  • 6 different characters available, including: Finn the Shark, Rex the Dinosaur, Snarl the Wolf, Fang the Saber Tooth Tiger, Stubs the Bull Dog, and Francis the Gorilla.
  • Each vehicle includes a high-powered pull-back motor which zooms more than 30 feet.
  • Made of durable plastic and other high-quality materials for endless head poppin’ fun.
  • The perfect toy to engage kids 3-years and up, in immersive fun that promotes Object, Creative, and Social Play Patterns.

We received a Scruff-a-Luvs Real Rescue for free from Moose toys as part of a Twitter Party that I am co-host for on Friday November 8, 2019 at 11am. Opinions are our own.

Andrew really wants a dog. While he loves his cat I know that deep down he is such a dog person. He’s loveable and dependable and fun. He’s got such a heart overflowing with love and so I was excited to find out that the Scruff-A-Luvs Real Rescue that we received was a puppy.

I did not know what it would be out of the box. You see, when you get one of these Scruff-a-Luvs Real Rescue pets they are all balled up and have matted fur. Very much like real life rescue animals when they are found abandoned and mistreated. I know that we’ve all seen the videos of animals that are found all matted and near starvation. Well, that is a sad thing but Moose Toys has taken that and made it into a whole uplifting toy experience for kids. When they receive their Scruff-a-Luvs Real Rescue pet in a pet carrier they get this shivering and scared little matted ball of fur. You cannot tell if it is a cat or a dog at this point. I did say shivering because this is a toy that is electronic but it is one that can go into water. It is the first stuffed animal that is electronic that can be taken into the bath.

So we get the toy and it is all matted so I take it and fill the sink with warm water and put the pet into it. It continues to shiver but we work out all the mats and then we dry it off. I had to put it into the dryer on a lower setting (after I took out the electronics piece, it is removable) and then when that was done we combed out the fur of the puppy and gave it a collar and tag, Andrew named him Jeff. He’s obsessed with that name.

The neat thing about this toy is that Moose Toys gives back with regards to this toy. For every Scruff-a-Luvs Real Rescue adopted, the company will donate part of the proceeds to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) to help real animals find their “furever” homes. That is a really neat thing for them to do.

You have a chance to win your own Scruff-A-Luvs this Friday. Just head to the #ScruffaLuvs Twitter Party RSVP page. There you can enter to win one of four Scruff-A-Luvs and a chance to win some Scruff-A-Luvs babies.
