We enjoyed a very relaxed Thanksgiving this year. We were back at the Christmas Farm Inn. Our day started super early because Andrew was up at 3:30am and he would not go back to bed. Then Eva got up as well and it was all over. Allison and I took turns trying to catch a couple more minutes of sleep while the kids watched shows on the iPad. When we finally did get going we went down to the Inn for breakfast.
Breakfast was delicious and we had a great morning. We finished up just in time to catch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. While we watched we played games like R2-D2 Bop-It that we got from Hasbro plus Scrabble Twist that we also got from Hasbro. The kids were loving these games. Eva found it helpful to play Scrabble Twist to work on her spelling. Andrew just loved pushing the buttons on both the Bop-It and Scrabble Twist. We also colored in some placemats that we got at Target that we used at dinner and put on all the things that we were thankful for. Here are Eva’s and Mine. Andrew wrote that he wanted “everyone to be ready to go to the pool in one minute”. Allison also had a very nice one, very colorful.

We were planning on going to the pool after the parade but all the water turned off in the whole place. I called down to the front desk and they said that the pool was not open. So we didn’t go. Later we learned that it was open. Before we learned that I took the kids down to the playground. They had a good time. I took photos while they played and so everyone wins.

When we got back from the playground we went over to the pool. The kids had such a fun time. Hopefully we can go and enjoy the pool again tomorrow before we leave.
Dinner was nice. There were tons of options at the buffet and I got to enjoy some delicious clam chowder to start and a turkey leg. Can’t beat that. Plus some great desserts. Eva was pretty adventurous and well Andrew, he started the meal asleep. He passed out after his tub and right before dinner. He slept through his shoes and socks being put on and being carried to the restaurant as well as the first course. He did not wake up pleasant, either. But at least he didn’t pass out during the middle of his meal like last year. After dinner we took some pictures of the kids.
We had another viewing of A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and then the kids were off to bed. Early to bed for us tonight.
