The other day I received the June Loot Crate. I receive a Loot Crate every month and I review it. Opinions as always are 100% my own. It was mostly Transformers themed. There were a few things from MLG or Major League Gaming. As with Each Loot Crate there are things I really like and things I am not a thrilled about. I could have done without the MLG stickers and been really excited if there were some awesome Transformers stickers included.
I didn’t do a photo shoot with all the stuff this time around because I recorded an unboxing video in one take and I opened things while I did the unboxing video right before running to work so no set up shot of all the stuff. I made the video edited and uploaded it changed my shirt and went off to work.
And speaking of the shirt in this Loot Crate, it was the biggest disappointment to me for two reasons. I already had the shirt. I was wearing said shirt to make the video and it was a complete coincidence that it was the same shirt. I had been hoping that the shirt would be of the Loot Crate Bus Transformer that was created and was with every promo for this crate. Which brings me to my second reason for being disappointed. What a missed opportunity for Loot Crate. Here they have this great bus that they drive around in and bring to events and an artist has created a Transformer inspired by that same bus and they don’t use it as the image for the T-shirt or even a custom sticker. The custom button with that character just didn’t cut it for me.
I did appreciate the Golden Jazz figure from The Loyal Subjects, it was my favorite part of the box. The Loyal Subjects also included an Autobot Sticker. I would have liked to have seen both and Autobots and a Decepticons sticker and then fans could declare their allegiances on social media. I also would have loved to see a more fun sticker like the one that was in a previous Loot Crate which was a crossover between Super Mario Bros and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That’s the type of thing that would have made this a much better crate.
Also included as a Transformers HexBug. I stated in the video that I got Optimus Prime but I actually got Drift. These things are hard to tell apart and since I saw Optimus on the packaging I thought that was what I had received. It is basically a HexBug with an attachment that is meant to look like a Transformer but it really doesn’t. I seem to recall that there was a Hexbug added into a previous Loot Crate but I can’t remember which one.
In all it was a good crate and probably a really good crate for other people, but since I already had the shirt and had my heart set on a Loot Crate Bus Bot Shirt I was a bit disappointed. I still love my Loot Crate and can’t wait for next month!
