Earlier this year I replaced our dishwasher. We had been living in our house for nearly 7 years and the dishwasher had needed replacing when we moved in. Had I waited longer I would have seriously considered picking up the Bosch 500 Series Dishwasher at Best Buy. The features on it are quite impressive. I’ve also heard some very good things about the Bosch brand.
While we would probably never have 16 people over for dinner nor do we have 16 place settings this 24″ dishwasher can wash up to 16 place settings at once. Now that doesn’t mean that we can’t fill a dishwasher because, believe me, we can. I think that we could fill it up with coffee cups alone most days.
We also have so many different sizes of plates, pans and more. With the Bosch 500 Series Dishwasher that is no problem because there is a third rack that has adjustable tines to make the right fit for deep, tall and uniquely shaped items. You can also load and unload smoothly and adjust the racks even when they are full of dishes because there are 3 different height levels and 9 possible rack positions. Each load can be completely customized with their EasyGlide™ rack and RackMatic® features.
The one feature that I find interesting and would love to have in my dishwasher is the AutoAir™ feature. AutoAir™ automatically opens the door at the end of the drying cycle to let moisture escape and fresh air circulate for better drying results.* If we had this feature, not only would it help with drying but it would also let me know that the wash was done and it was time for me to put everything away. We have been known to forget the dishes for a little while. However, I cannot walk by an open drawer or appliance and ignore it. I really wish I had known about this dishwasher when it was time for us to replace ours.
*Compared to Bosch Dishwashers with PureDry.
